Fantastic Chess Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Last updated: 15 August 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and KIS Consultancy BV (de Vlasroot 3, 5555 KR Valkenswaard, The Netherlands, KvK 69060185) for your use of the Fantastic Chess app. By playing, you accept them.

1. Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you need your parent or guardian's permission — especially before making any purchase.

2. Your account

You need an account to play online. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.

Choose a display name that isn't offensive, impersonating, or someone else's trademark. We may change or reset a name that breaks this rule.

3. Purchases, gems and cards

Your right of withdrawal (EU/EEA consumers)

You normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content. When you buy gems they are delivered to your account immediately — by completing the purchase you ask us to begin performance at once and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once delivery is complete. This does not affect your statutory rights if something is faulty.

4. Fair play

Please don't:

If you break these rules we may reset progress, remove items obtained unfairly, restrict online play, or close your account. Where it's proportionate we'll warn you first, but serious cases — cheating in ranked play especially — we act on directly.

5. Availability

We aim to keep the game running, but we don't promise uninterrupted service. Online play depends on our servers and on your connection. We may update, suspend or discontinue features, and we may take servers down for maintenance.

If we ever discontinue the game entirely, we will give reasonable notice in the app and stop selling gems before we do.

6. Ending this agreement

You can stop at any time by deleting your account — see Delete your account. Deleting removes your progress and any unused virtual items, and this is not refundable.

We may suspend or close your account if you materially breach these terms, or if we are legally required to.

7. Our content

The app, its artwork, characters, card designs, music, text and code belong to KIS Consultancy BV or our licensors. You get a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the app for your own entertainment. You may share screenshots and videos of your own play, including monetised video content, provided you don't claim the game as your own.

8. Liability

The app is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost progress, or lost virtual items.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Dutch law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to play afterwards means you accept the updated terms; if you don't, you can delete your account.

10. Law and disputes

Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands — but if you are a consumer, you keep the right to bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live, and to rely on the consumer protections of that country.

EU consumers can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
